About Barrhead CRC

Barrhead Christian Reformed Church is a welcoming community of believers located in Barrhead, Alberta. Since being organized in 1950, our congregation has sought to faithfully share the gospel of Jesus Christ, grow together in faith, and serve both our local community and the wider world.

As part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, we are rooted in the historic Reformed Christian faith. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation for all of life and faith. Our teachings are grounded in the historic creeds and confessions of the Reformed tradition, including the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dort.

Our church family includes people of all ages and backgrounds who gather weekly for worship, prayer, fellowship, and learning. We desire to be a church where Christ is faithfully preached, where people are encouraged in their walk with God, and where visitors feel genuinely welcomed.

Barrhead itself has a rich agricultural and settlement history dating back to the early 1900s along the historic Klondike Trail route through northwest Alberta. Over the decades, Christian Reformed families became part of the growing farming communities in the region, helping shape the spiritual and community life of the area.

Today, Barrhead CRC continues to serve the community through worship services, Bible study, discipleship, prayer, outreach, and support for missions both locally and globally. Whether you are exploring faith, new to the area, or looking for a church home, we invite you to join us as we seek to know Christ and make His love known.
